The cost of service varies depending
on your needs. We charge for service based on the time it takes our
professionals to complete the project. When you contact us, we will
explore your needs and develop a proposal for you. Often we can give
you a rough idea of costs during our conversation.
Stewardship communications
projects usually cost less than church fundraising projects because
more of the work can be done off-site in our offices at lower rates.
On-site consulting where our services are needed at the church cost
more. We try to match our services with your available volunteer and
staff resources to make a project as cost-effective as possible.
Projects designed to increase offertory collections have
printing and mailing costs but significantly less service time and
therefore can be very cost-effective.
For fundraising projects, we
adhere to the code of ethics of the Association of Fundraising
Professionals and therefore can not and will not work based on
receiving a percentage of the amount of funds raised. Instead, we
are compensated on the basis of time and the number of personnel
required to complete a project. After reviewing your needs, we
provide a proposal with a cost based on the time we estimate it will
take to complete your project.
Planning Studies are an
important first step before embarking on campaign. Depending on your
needs, they are very cost-effective to conduct and will reveal a
strong indication of what can be raised. A complete, independent
planning study for a church can cost from $10,000 to $20,000 for a
single location or $30,000 and above for multi-location churches and
dioceses. If you simply want to get an idea of the initial interest
of parishioners in a campaign, the firm can prepare an
Internet-based study for as little as $1,000 with an unlimited
number of participants.
Capital campaigns and other
major campaigns for churches are complex projects that require
significant time. Looking back historically at major capital
campaigns for churches in which our consultants have been involved,
if you have 500 or more families and intend to raise $500,000 to
$5,000,000 or more, you can anticipate that fees will fall in a
range starting at about $30,000 and can be as much as $100,000 based
on the amount of service time it will likely take to complete the
project.
There is an economy of scale in
major fundraising campaigns that does negatively affect smaller
churches and smaller goals but we will do our best to find a way to
provide professional services even to smaller organizations.
