This is one of the most difficult
questions to answer for any particular church. There are so many
variables to consider. In sheer dollars raised, some individual
churches have raised $10 million or more. Others are pleased to have
raise $100,000 in a campaign.
The only way to accurately determine
what could be raised at your church is to conduct a
planning study.
The study process includes a review of previous giving at the church
and explores the giving potential of current church families. While
giving history and potential are important, testing the level of
interest in the type of project you are planning determines the
likelihood of support.
By reviewing financial ability and
commitment to the project, the firm can accurately determine a goal
for a campaign. Other factors include strength of leadership and how
many years leaders have served successfully; cohesiveness of the
church community; the level of commitment to stewardship as a way of
life; and the likelihood that the project can become a reality with a
reasonable number of years.
If you call us and are able to
discuss finances, the number of families at the
church, and can provide a summary of your project, we can provide
some idea of a range of what might be raised in a campaign. Again,
only a complete study of specific financial data, survey responses, community
commitment and project detail will reveal an accurate goal for a
campaign.
